Sunday, Keeping it Holy

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it  holy (Exodus 20:8) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, in it thou shalt not do any work, thou , nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, not thy stranger that is within thy gates .

For in six days the lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it some agree that such holidays as Christmas have pagan origins but still feel that it is not wrong to celebrate them.

After all, most people are not thinking about false worship when they observe holidays.

These occasions  also give families opportunities to draw close together.

When Tame Lee Ow2ens celebrated her 104th birthday, she credited "laughter, the lord, and the little things" for keeping her going. She still finds enjoyment each day in talking with people taking a walk, and reading the bible as she has done since childhood. " I do not know how long he will let  me stay here, " she said, " I just thank the lord for what he is given me already."

Most of us will not live 104 years, but we can learn form Tamera Lee how to enjoy each day that we are given.

laughter " A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart spirit is broken " (Proverbs 15:13) True happiness begins deep inside and emerges on our faces.
