Numbers 34:1-7

Boundaries of Canaan

34 The Lord said to Moses, “Command the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter Canaan, the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance is to have these boundaries:
“‘Your southern side will include some of the Desert of Zin along the border of Edom. Your southern boundary will start in the east from the southern end of the Dead Sea, cross south of Scorpion Pass,continue on to Zin and go south of Kadesh Barnea. Then it will go to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon, where it will turn, join the Wadi of Egypt and end at the Mediterranean Sea.
“‘Your western boundary will be the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. This will be your boundary on the west.
“‘For your northern boundary, run a line from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor

Song of Songs 1:4-5

Take me away with you—let us hurry!
    Let the king bring me into his chambers.

Friends

We rejoice and delight in you[a];
    we will praise your love more than wine.

She

How right they are to adore you!

Dark am I, yet lovely,
    daughters of Jerusalem,
dark like the tents of Kedar,
    like the tent curtains of Solomon.

Song of Solomon 1:10

10 Your cheeks are comely with ornaments,
    your neck with strings of jewels.

Song of Solomon 1:15

15 Ah, you are beautiful, my love;
    ah, you are beautiful;
    your eyes are doves.
You are fairer than the children of men;graciousness is poured upon Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever.
Has God [deliberately] abandoned or forgotten His graciousness? Has He in anger shut up His compassion? Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
However, so that I will not burden you any further, I beg you in your graciousness to give us a brief hearing.
So too at the present time there is a remnant (a small believing minority), selected (chosen) by grace (by God's unmerited favor and graciousness).

But if it is by grace (His unmerited favor and graciousness), it is no longer conditioned on works or anything men have done. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace [it would be meaningless].
