Hebrews 9:1-9

Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary.A tabernacle was set up. In its first room were the lampstand and the table with its consecrated bread; this was called the Holy Place. Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,which had the golden altar of incenseand the gold-covered ark of the covenant.This ark contained the gold jar of manna,Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant. Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory,overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still functioning. This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offeredwere not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper.

Psalm 98

Psalm 98

Sing to the Lord a new song,
    for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
    have worked salvation for him.
The Lord has made his salvation known
    and revealed his righteousnessto the nations.
He has remembered his love
    and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
    the salvation of our God.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
    burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the Lord with the harp,
    with the harp and the sound of singing,
with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn
    shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands,
    let the mountains sing together for joy;
let them sing before the Lord,
    for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
    and the peoples with equity.

Psalm 102:15-19

15 The nations will fear the name of the Lord,
    all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.
16 For the Lord will rebuild Zion
    and appear in his glory.
17 He will respond to the prayer of the destitute;
    he will not despise their plea.

18 Let this be written for a future generation,
    that a people not yet createdmay praise the Lord:
19 “The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high,
    from heaven he viewed the earth,

Ephesians 6:6

Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.

Proverbs 4:23

23 Above all else, guard your heart,
    for everything you do flows from it.

Psalm 51:10New International Versi

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
    and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 86:11

11 Teach me your way, Lord,
    that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
    that I may fear your name.
