from whence hath this man these things and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Jones, and of Judah, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kin. and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching. It is important to remember that the kingdom- preaching work is urgent. The bible says, "Preach the word, be at it urgently,"(2Timothy 4:2) why is doing this so urgent today? God's word tell us ; "The great day of God is near. It is near and there is a hurrying of it very much " Zephaniah 1:14) Yes, the time is coming quickly when God will bring this whole system of things to it's end. People need to be warned.
They need to know that now is the time to choose God as their Sovereign.
True Christians,that is why his word says: " Let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together when we gather with fellow believers at Christian meetings, we have a wonderful opportunity to praise and worship our beloved God.
God has given every believer gifts that are to be exercised for the common good of the church (1Corinthian 12:7) Although the body of Christ continues to function, it is not functioning at it's best.
There are a some over worked Christians around. God wants us to use our spiritual gifts to benefit others in the church.
All Christians have been gifted by grace from God above, Equipped to build and strengthen the church in faith and love.
The manifestation of the spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. (Corinthians 12:17) Team wor4k divides the effort and multiplies the effect.
