Spirituality and the Awakening

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine; That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, teachers of good things; We speak of a human being as composed of flesh and spirit or of body and soul. Combined they form a human person.

The kingdom of heaven is spread out over the earth;Transformation involves a reorganization of consciousness, this helps us to know ourselves and therefore becomes potentially important resource in our growth. It reminds us that the journey of awakenings is based not on action but on attention and openness.

Awakenings happen within a reflective context.

This is the reason why the contemplative dimensions of the spiritual life are so essential to awakening. Awakening always involves the mind. The mind is so fundamental to human existence that it forms a part of all levels and states of consciousness.

It is never left behind in psychological of spiritual development.

This is why so many spiritual traditions emphasize the importance of releasing our attachment to our thoughts.
One way of understanding Jesus's teaching about the necessity of losing our self if we are to truly find it is that in order to find our true self we must release the false centers of self in which we so easily settle.

God has an itinerary for each of us, a "course" that we must run.(Acts 20:24 and 2Tim.4:7) our route is charted in the councils of heaven and rooted in the sovereign purpose of God To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus Christ
