Today's Thought

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth holding the four winds of the earth that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea,nor on any tree. The sorrow of Christ has nothing to do with personal repentance. In fact, in every human action of Christ, the christian is meant to see the divine simultaneously, that's a fine idea,it belongs to a more greek mode of abstract thinking about "essencee" and "being" and "deity." Christian claim it has to do with God's out pouring of love on human beings, seen most austerely in the cross of Jesus Christ. It is a way of life, which can only be found in "following it" The "Kingdom of God," as Jesus uses the term,is intentionally a radical, undermining, subversive presence that upsets the world's ideas of authority and influence. Jesus Christ speaks in terms of "leadership" but in terms of service. A delighted contemplative receptivity is one moment in the fulsome story of the continuum of happiness. Person can acquire different levels of consciousness and identity and direct their emotional responses by freely deploying and sustaining attention as they will. Some centered, core, valued dimensions of a person have been described as "hot" because they are so emotionally invested in and owned, in contrast to cooler, less valued, transitory responses. Some deep, highly valued, owned dimensions of a self's relationships may persist and be more powerful in determining happiness than surface reactions and hardships. The key human capacity is the ability to direct and sustain attention to the good and have consciousness follow. This is mainly concerned with the causes of pain and pleasure and the fact that everything is interlinked, creating a chain reaction. It shows us that everything is ultimately related to our benefit. the temptation to go behind the hidden door of secrecy in our lives and do things that dishonor the lord haunts us all, finally,be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil,or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.1 Peter 3:8,9
