1 Timothy 6:4  He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words.

Whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

2 Timothy 2:14  Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

Titus 3:9  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. 2 Thessalonians 2:9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.

James  5:7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.

Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. James 5:8  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts.

 For the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious.

Romans 15:21  But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

1 Corinthians 1:19  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1 Corinthians 2:5  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Hebrews 11:37  They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; Hebrews 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses.

And let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Hebrews 13:9  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines.

 For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
