Sacred Moments- Embracing the Sabbath with WBJMinistries

The Cosmos and the Sacred Sabbath -A Day of Preparation with WBJMinistries

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” – Shemot (Exodus) 20:8

It was a crisp Wednesday evening, and the first stars began to twinkle in the heavens above. Their gentle light, scattered across the cosmos, reminded Amari of Yahusha’s promise of peace and rest. The week had been challenging—filled with moments of both joy and strain—but now, the Preparation Day for the Sabbath had come.

Amari, a devoted follower of WBJMinistries, opened her Halaleyah Scriptures and read from Bereshit (Genesis) 2:2-3, reflecting on how Elohim rested on the seventh day after creating the heavens, the earth, and all their beauty. She felt connected to that ancient rhythm, a sacred harmony woven into the fabric of the cosmos itself.

The Preparation Begins

Amari lit her preparation candle, a simple flame symbolizing her readiness to welcome the Sabbath. As the light flickered, she meditated on Tehillim (Psalm) 19:1-
"The heavens declare the esteem of El; and the expanse shows His handiwork."

She looked up to the sky, where the constellations seemed to dance in praise. Each star, a reminder that Yahusha’s design is perfect, called her to prepare her heart, her home, and her spirit for the day of rest.

In her kitchen, Amari began her work. She carefully baked bread, whispering blessings as she kneaded the dough, just as her ancestors might have done. Her granddaughter, Jamira, joined her, laughing and singing praises from Tehillim (Psalm) 92:1-2:
"It is good to give thanks to Yahusha and to sing praises to Your Name, O Most High; to declare Your kindness in the morning, and Your trustworthiness each night."

Together, they sang as the aroma of fresh bread filled the room, their voices rising like incense to the heavens.

The Cosmos and the Call to Rest

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of crimson and gold, Amari turned her attention to the cosmos. She thought of the planets, each orbiting in perfect order, obeying the divine commands set forth in Iyob (Job) 38:31-33-
"Do you bind the bands of Kimah (Pleiades), or loosen the cords of Kesil (Orion)? Do you bring out the constellations in their season?"

The stars’ obedience to Yahusha’s timing mirrored her own commitment to honoring the Sabbath. She realized that preparation was not just about physical tasks but about aligning her spirit with the Creator’s will.

A Lesson for Generations

After everything was ready, Amari gathered her family for a brief teaching. She turned to Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 58:13-14-
"If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’...then you shall delight yourself in יהוה."

She explained to Jamira the importance of the Sabbath as a gift from Yahusha—a time to cease striving and embrace His peace. The little girl’s eyes widened as Amari compared it to the stars resting in the sky, their light constant yet peaceful.

“Just as Yahusha set the stars in place, He has set the Sabbath apart for us,” Amari said. “It is our time to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with Him.”

A Sabbath Prayer Under the Stars

As the Sabbath began, the family stepped outside. The city lights of Manhattan dimmed the stars, but Amari pointed to the brightest ones she could find. Together, they recited Tehillim (Psalm) 8:3-4-
"For I see Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have established. What is man that You remember him?"

In that moment, surrounded by family and under the vast canopy of the cosmos, Amari felt Yahusha’s grace envelop her like a warm embrace.

The Invitation

Beloved family of WBJMinistries, as we enter into this sacred Sabbath, let us prepare not just our homes but our hearts. The Sabbath is a day when heaven and earth meet—a cosmic pause designed by Yahusha for our restoration. Let the stars remind us of His eternal promises, and let the scriptures guide us to call the Sabbath a delight.

In the words of Debarim (Deuteronomy) 5:12-
"Guard the Sabbath day, to set it apart, as יהוה your Elohim commanded you."

May your Sabbath be filled with peace, joy, and the glory of the cosmos that declares Yahusha’s majesty. Shalom!
