Unity in Faith- Empowering the Assembly of WBJMinistries

The Grace and Power of Women in the Assembly

Opening Prayer-

Heavenly Father Yahusha, we come before You with hearts open to Your wisdom and grace. We ask for clarity, compassion, and understanding as we delve into Your Word today. Let us embrace Your divine purpose for us, especially for the women in our midst. We pray that every word spoken brings glory to Your name, uplifts our spirits, and strengthens our faith in You.

 HalleluYah.

Sermon-

Today, we gather in the presence of Yahusha to explore a passage that has stirred conversation and reflection for centuries. In 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, Paul speaks about the role of women within the assembly, stating, "Let your women keep silent in the churches* for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home* for it is a shame for women to speak in the church."

These words, often challenging to understand, offer us an opportunity to examine what true obedience and submission mean within our communities. Let us seek the wisdom of Yahusha and look to the Halaleyah Scriptures and other parts of His Word to gain insight.

In the Book of Mishley (Proverbs) 31:26, we see another perspective on women* “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the Torah of kindness.” Here, we are reminded that women are vessels of wisdom, kindness, and truth. Yahusha has blessed women with the ability to counsel, teach, and encourage others. Through their wisdom, they can uplift the assembly, becoming voices of strength and grace within their communities.

Paul’s message in 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 can be understood in the context of Yahusha’s order, emphasizing peace and unity within the assembly. In 1 Timothy 2:11-12, Paul writes, “Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.” Paul’s teachings encourage a structure that honors unity, and let us be clear that this structure was meant to foster harmony rather than suppression.

It is essential to consider that Yahusha’s ministry was filled with powerful, active, faithful women. In Mattityahu (Matthew) 28:5-7, it was women who were first entrusted with the message of Yahusha's resurrection. The angel appeared to Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, telling them, “Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead.” These women were chosen to carry the message of the Gospel – a task that held great significance and responsibility. Yahusha empowered them to be messengers, to proclaim His truth, and to spread the news of His victory over death.

Likewise, in Luqas (Luke) 8:1-3, women accompanied Yahusha and His disciples, supporting His ministry with their resources and presence. These examples show us that Yahusha’s plan for women in the assembly goes beyond silence. It is about purpose, reverence, and using wisdom to edify the body.

In Galatians 3:28, Paul writes, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Yahusha the Messiah.” This declaration reminds us that while we may have different roles, we are all equally valuable in Yahusha’s eyes. Each of us has a purpose in His Kingdom, and that purpose is rooted in love, service, and devotion to Him.

At WBJMinistries, we recognize the unique calling Yahusha has placed on each individual. We celebrate the strength of women who serve, teach, and encourage. Today, we lift up our sisters in faith, honoring their contributions, resilience, and commitment to Yahusha. May we continue to seek His guidance and embrace our roles with humility and joy, knowing that Yahusha is glorified when we walk in obedience to His Word.

Let us Close in Prayer-

Heavenly Father Yahusha, thank You for Your Word, which brings wisdom and understanding. Help us to honor the roles and gifts You have given us, both men and women alike. May we walk in harmony, respecting and supporting one another in Your assembly. Let Your grace guide us as we grow in wisdom and love. May we lift each other up in faith and unity, and may all we do bring glory to Your name.

HalleluYah.
