A Sermon on Spiritual Disconnection
Restoring the Divine Connection
Presented by WBJMinistries

Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with open hearts and seeking spirits. You are the fountain of all wisdom, the source of all grace, and the anchor of our souls. Teach us how to draw near to You when we feel far away. Help us to understand the weight of spiritual disconnection and lead us to the joy of reconnection. May this message inspire and empower all who hear it. In Yahusha’s holy name, we pray. Halaleyah!

The Story of Amariah’s Awakening

In a bustling city lived Amariah, a woman known for her unwavering faith and dedication to Yahusha. Her days were filled with singing the psalms of Halaleyah and proclaiming His word. Yet, as time passed, she began to feel a strange emptiness. The scriptures that once leapt off the pages now seemed like distant whispers.

Amariah struggled in silence, trying to understand why the God /Elohim she loved felt so far away. She turned to her Halaleyah scriptures and opened to Halaleyah (Tellihim) -Psalm 42:1-2, which read: “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God/Elohim. My soul thirsts for God, the living God/Elohim.”

She realized she was experiencing a thirst—a spiritual disconnection. Desperate for answers, she sought solace in the words of the traditional Bible and stumbled upon( Yohanan )-John 15:5, where Yahusha declared: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me, you can do nothing.”

These words struck her deeply. Amariah had been trying to grow without the Vine. She had allowed the busyness of life to sever her from the source of her strength.

The Philosophy of Disconnection

In her search for understanding, Amariah met an elderly philosopher named Elias, who lived by the edge of the city. Elias shared wisdom that echoed both the Halaleyah scriptures and traditional teachings.

“Amariah,” he began, “spiritual disconnection is like a tree uprooted from the earth. The tree may stand for a while, but without its roots in the soil, it will wither.”

Elias reminded her of(Qoheleth)- Ecclesiastes 3:11, which says: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart.”
“You feel disconnection because your heart was designed for eternity, for an unbroken connection with the Creator.”

Elias also quoted Halaleyah (Tellihim)-Psalms 91:1-2: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahusha, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”

These words reminded Amariah that to restore the connection, she needed to return to the shelter of the Most High.

The Journey Back

Elias encouraged her to begin her journey of reconnection by embracing three principles*

Return to the Word* Elias reminded her of (Tellihim) -Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” By meditating on the scriptures daily, Amariah began to feel Yahusha’s presence again.

Prayer and Fasting* She recalled (Yeshayahu )-Isaiah 58:6, “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen- to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke?” Amariah dedicated time to prayer and fasting, breaking the chains of distraction.

Community and Worship- Returning to fellowship, she joined others in singing Halaleyah’s praises, echoing Halaleyah (Tellihim)-Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that has breath praise Yahusha!”

With each step, Amariah felt her spirit rekindle, as if the Vine had begun to feed her once again.

The Promise of Reconnection

Amariah’s journey reminds us of Yahusha’s promise in (Mattithyahu)- Matthew 11:28-30-
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

She also clung to the hope in Halaleyah (Tellihim)-Psalms 37:4, “Delight yourself in Yahusha, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

By the end of her journey, Amariah not only restored her connection with Yahusha but also became a light to others who felt lost. She shared her story with WBJMinistries, inspiring countless souls to seek Yahusha and embrace His grace.

Closing Prayer
Yahusha, we thank You for the lesson of Amariah’s awakening and the truth of Your Word. We confess that at times we feel far from You, but we trust Your promise that You are never far from us. Guide us back to the Vine when we stray. Fill our hearts with Your Spirit and our lives with Your light. May we always find joy in Your presence and strength in Your grace. In Yahusha’s name, we declare Halaleyah!
