The Universe Is a Witness
When we look into the night sky, we see more than stars.
We see a reminder that creation is greater than human understanding.
The universe contains billions of galaxies, countless stars, and mysteries that continue to be explored. Every discovery reveals more complexity, more order, and more wonder.
But creation itself is not the final answer.
Creation points to the Creator.
πTehillim (Psalm) 19:1
> “The heavens are proclaiming the esteem of Δl; And the expanse is declaring the work of His hands.”π
The heavens have a message.
They declare that there is wisdom, order, and purpose behind what exists.
The One Who Created the Stars Knows You.
The size of the cosmos can make people feel small.
Nevertheless Scripture reveals something powerful:
The Creator of the universe is also concerned with the individual.
πYeshayahu (Isaiah) 40:26
> “Lift up your eyes on high and see: Who created these? Who brings out their host by number? He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of power; not one is missing.”π
The same Elohim who calls the stars by name knows the details of your life.
Your prayers.
Your struggles.
Your purpose.
The Wisdom Written Into Creation
Science allows us to study the “how” of creation:
The movement of planets.
The formation of stars.
The patterns of nature.
The measurements of space.
Faith causes us to reflect on the “Who” behind it all.
The cosmos teaches humility.
It reminds us that we are not the center of everything still we are deeply known by the One who created everything.
This is the beauty of reflecting on creation:
the universe points beyond itself.
The Hidden Light
Deep within a vast darkness, a small light shines.
It does not need to be the biggest light.
It does not need to compete with every other light.
It simply fulfills its purpose.
Even across great distances, its presence can be seen.
In the same way, a life connected to Elohim may seem small in the eyes of the world, however it can still carry purpose, hope, and impact.
A faithful light still shines.
Creation and the Inner Life
Many traditions throughout history have searched for understanding of the seen and unseen aspects of life.
Yet Scripture directs us back to the Creator.
πBΔreshith (Genesis) 1:1
> “In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.”π
The foundation is clear:
The universe belongs to the One who made it.
The stars are beautiful, though the Creator is greater.
The heavens are powerful, but Elohim is above all.
Reflection From the City of Discovery
Places like the American Museum of Natural History display the wonders of nature, space, and history.
Still no building can contain the fullness of creation.
Every exhibit is a glimpse.
Every discovery is a reminder.
Every question leads us back to the greatness of the One who formed all things.
A Call to Reflect
Look upward and remember:
You are part of something greater.
Walk with humility.
Seek wisdom.
Protect your heart.
Follow the Creator, not only the creation.
The One who formed the cosmos can also bring order, peace, and purpose into your life.
