A Righteous Stand- A Family's Journey in Wisdom and Justice

A Righteous Stand
By WBJMinistries

Opening Prayer-
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance and wisdom. Bless us to walk in righteousness, not as those who are easily swayed, but as those who stand firm in truth and justice. Let this message touch our hearts and inspire our lives. In Yahusha’s name, we pray. Halleluyah!

Scripture Readings*

Halaleyah Scriptures- "Be not deceived, Elohim is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he shall also reap." – Galatiyim 6:7 (Galatians 6:7).

Traditional Scriptures- "Do to others as you would have them do to you." – (Luqas)-Luke 6:31.

The Story*

There once was a family living in the bustling heart of the city. The Thompsons were known for their warm spirit and unwavering values. Marcus, the father, was a man of integrity, and his wife, Wilhelmina, was a woman of quiet strength. They raised their two children, Caleb and Mia, with the wisdom of the Scriptures, teaching them to walk in righteousness and love—but also to discern truth from manipulation.

One winter, Marcus was approached by an old friend, Gergory, who was down on his luck. Gregory spun a tale of misfortune and begged for financial help. Marcus, moved by compassion, lent Gregory a significant sum despite Wilhelmina’s reservations. “He’s family to me,” Marcus told her. “It’s what Yahusha would want.”

Months passed, and Gregory showed no signs of repaying the debt. Worse, Marcus discovered that Gregory had spent the money frivolously. This revelation deeply hurt Marcus, not just because of the financial loss but because Gregory had taken advantage of his kindness.

That Friday night, during their family devotional time, Caleb asked, “Dad, what does it mean to be righteous? Does it mean letting people take advantage of you?”

Marcus opened the Halaleyah Scriptures and read- “The righteous man wisely considers the house of the wicked- Elohim overthrows the wicked for their wickedness” (Mishlĕ 21:12, Proverbs 21:12). He explained, “Righteousness means walking in truth and justice. It means being kind but also wise. It’s not about being a sucker, Gullible person, Fool, Victim or Pushover. it’s about doing what’s right in Yahusha’s eyes.”

Wilhelmina chimed in. “Being righteous doesn’t mean ignoring someone’s wrongs. It means holding them accountable with love and fairness. Gregory has sown seeds of deceit, and he must face the harvest of his choices.”

The next day, Marcus invited Gregory over for a talk. Calmly but firmly, he said, “Gregory, I gave you that money out of love and trust. You broke that trust. I’m willing to forgive, but forgiveness doesn’t erase accountability. I need you to take responsibility and work to repay what you owe.”

Gregory was stunned. He expected Marcus to let it go, but Marcus stood his ground. That moment planted a seed of repentance in Gregory’s heart. Over the following months, Gregory began making amends. He paid back what he could and, more importantly, restored their friendship by proving he could change.

As a family, the Thompsons learned that righteousness isn’t just about giving—it’s about balancing grace with wisdom. Caleb and Mia grew up seeing their parents’ example of strength and compassion, learning that Yahusha’s way is one of balance- loving others without losing yourself.

The Message-
This story reminds us that righteousness is not weakness—it is strength under control. As believers, we are called to walk in wisdom, guided by the principle of cause and effect: “Whatever you sow, you will reap” (Galatiyim 6:7, Galatians 6:7). Being righteous doesn’t mean ignoring wrongdoing but confronting it with grace and truth.

WBJMinistries stands for this truth- Righteousness is a bold and powerful stand for what is right in Yahusha’s eyes. It’s not about being taken advantage of but about embodying love, wisdom, and justice.

Closing Prayer-
Father Elohim,
Thank You for the lessons You teach us through Your Word. May we walk boldly in righteousness, balancing grace with accountability. Help us sow seeds of wisdom, love, and justice, knowing that we reap what we sow. Strengthen us to stand firm in truth and compassion.
In Yahusha’s holy name, we pray. Halleluyah.
