It has come to fruition, through many hours of scripture reading and meditation that spiritual gifts can always be used to further grow the kingdom of Elohim. Proverbs 11:25 — "The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.
Becoming a social worker was a childhood dream that I never was too far away from. Every job or career I pursued had an appealing element to me, it was helping others. I have decided to embark on a career in macro social work.
Out my life I have had to sit, watch as employees at some government or federal agency put myself, my family and others in one crisis situation after another. And been told by people in the hood. "Oh, it's because you gotta know how to play the game."
Or "you don't know how to talk to people."
I would not call putting someone through critical stress, anxiety over something that can be prevented a game. Not one I would want to play, anyway." Luke 22:27 “Who would you rather be:
The one who eats the dinner or the one who serves the dinner? You’d rather eat and be served, right? But I’ve taken my place among you as the one who serves. I am not sure if any of you have had to sit across from someone who is suppose to be
The go between you and the assistance you are seeking. And undermine your answers to questions with the intent to make you uncomfortable with the understanding their just doing their job. For example: imagine someone putting you in a choke hold.
To subdue you because you are allegedly out of control and then you die.The killer is suppose to receive empathy because they were the one who stepped up to help. Matthew 6:1-4 “Be especially careful when you are trying to be good.
So that you don’t make a performance out of it. It might be good theater. Nevertheless, the God who made you won’t be applauding. “When you do something for someone else, don’t call attention to yourself. You’ve seen them in action.
I’m sure—‘playactors’ I call them—treating prayer meeting and street corner alike as a stage. Therefore, acting compassionate as long as someone is watching, playing to the crowds. They get applause, true, but that’s all they get.
To help someone out, don’t think about how it looks. Just do it—quietly and unobtrusively. The way your God, who conceived you in love, working behind the scenes, helps you out. I would not promote or impose spiritual beliefs and practices that are outside of the system
Or not be respectful and sensitive to other's religious beliefs and prac- tices. I would not be judgmental about other's religious beliefs ... In research I discovered something I felt in my heart my whole life. I can certainly be effective in the area of Micro Social Work:
At the micro level, social workers provide one-on-one. Family and small-group services to individuals addressing a wide range of social issues. These may include housing support, substance abuse counseling and mental health therapy.
Nonetheless, I have found myself being the only adult in the room. On more than one occasion. And so, for this reason. I would be best as a Macro Social Worker: Macro-level social work encompasses policy making, research and community based initiatives.
Social workers at this level of practice are more than likely to focus on and help address larger societal issues like homelessness, substance abuse, housing and more. Instead of focusing on the small-scale work of social work practice with individuals.
Macro social work emphasizes the large-scale efforts of advocacy. Social justice and public policy. Macro social workers use their passion for social justice and their knowledge of social work theories and practice to work for improvements.
In social service programs and social policies, common roles in macro social work Include community organizers, policy analysts, and legislative advocates.
