The Steadfast Path; Slow and Steady in Yahusha’s Light

Sermon; The Steadfast Path of Light

Elohim Most High, we come before You in reverence and humility. We thank You for the wisdom of Yahusha, the breath of life, and the guidance of our ancestors. May Your light align with our hearts, balance our steps, and open our spirits to receive truth. May we learn patience, endurance, and faith in the journey You have called us to walk. In Yahusha’s name we pray, Halleluyah.

๐Ÿ“Message

The image of the tortoise reminds us of an eternal truth: “Slow and Steady wins the race.” This is not simply a children’s story. It is a profound spiritual principle. In our world, many run fast, chasing wealth, power, and recognition. Yet the race of faith is not for the swift, it is for the steadfast.

Sha’ul (Paul) reminds us in Ibrim (Hebrews) 12:1, Halleluyah Scriptures:
"Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."

Notice, it is not about speed, it is about endurance. The tortoise, like the faithful believer, embodies patience, resilience, and grounded energy. Each step is deliberate, guided, and unwavering.

The Chakras and the Journey of Endurance. The tortoise, slow yet steady, symbolizes alignment. Like the chakras in our bodies, we must keep each step of our spiritual journey in balance:

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara) – Like the tortoise’s steady feet on the earth, we must be grounded in Yahusha’s truth, secure in faith, not shaken by the storms.

2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) – The place of creativity and relationships. Moving slow allows us to nurture meaningful bonds, not shallow connections.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) – The tortoise has strength in its shell. This chakra is our inner power, the steady fire of confidence when the world doubts us.

4. Heart Chakra (Anahata) – Each slow step teaches compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional love, like Yahusha’s walk to the stake, filled with patient love.

5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) – Speaking truth is not rushed. The tortoise teaches us to pause before speaking, ensuring our words are aligned with Elohim.

6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) – Vision and wisdom come not from running, but from stillness. The tortoise sees the path clearly because it does not rush past it.

7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) – The light of Yahusha connects us to Elohim. Slow and steady prayer and meditation open this divine connection, lifting us beyond the race of the world.

When all these centers are balanced, we move like the tortoise, steady, patient, unstoppable.

Philosophical and Cultural Reflections

Aristotle once said, “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.”
The Mohegan people remind us to walk with respect for the earth, for the land itself moves slowly yet sustains all life.
Zulu wisdom teaches us through the Amadlozi (ancestors) that perseverance honors those before us.
Our Polish Catholic heritage reminds us through the rosary that steady, repeated prayer creates strength.
In Buddhism, mindfulness teaches us that walking slowly in awareness is the path to peace.
And in the words of Black women’s wisdom, endurance is not weakness, it is power refined by struggle and faith.

๐ŸงฌConclusion~ The tortoise shows us; Yahusha does not measure our faith by speed, but by consistency. The race of life is not about being the first, it is about being faithful to the end. So, beloved, may we align our chakras, ground ourselves in patience, and walk the steady path of Yahusha. In doing so, we will find that the slow steps of faith carry us further than the fastest sprint of the world.

Elohim of Light, we thank you for the steady rhythm of life. Align our steps with Your Word. Balance our spirits, strengthen our hearts, and remind us that endurance in Yahusha is victory. Let us walk slow and steady, yet always forward, until we reach the eternal finish line of Your Kingdom. In Yahusha’s name we pray, Halleluyah.
