🚢🏼‍♀️ Walking in Purpose: The Road of Stewardship

Opening Prayer πŸ™πŸΌ
🀲🏼 πŸ›πŸ“ΏπŸŒ✝️πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Heavenly Father Elohim,
we come before You with grateful hearts. Open our eyes to see Your creation through the lens of wisdom and stewardship. Teach us to walk in truth, light, and purpose as we care for the world You have entrusted to us. Let every step we take bring healing, justice, and hope to our communities. Through Yahusha, guide our paths today and always.

Sermon

Imagine the streets of Manhattan. Think of Times Square, Wall Street, Penn Station, and the pathways surrounding the Statue of Liberty. Millions travel these routes daily. Some walk, some ride buses and trains, and some drive vehicles. Every journey tells a story about how we care for one another and how we care for creation.
Today the world faces environmental challenges. Transportation contributes approximately 27% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Air pollution contributes to millions of premature deaths worldwide each year. These numbers are not merely statistics. They represent families, neighborhoods, and communities seeking healthier lives.

As followers of Yahusha, stewardship extends beyond our homes and congregations. Stewardship includes the streets we walk, the air we breathe, and the communities we build. Every choice that reduces pollution and promotes health becomes an act of honoring Elohim's creation.

Sociology teaches us that transportation plays a significant role in shaping social inequality. Research consistently shows that low-income communities often experience greater exposure to pollution and fewer transportation opportunities. This creates barriers to employment, education, healthcare, and economic mobility. Justice calls us to advocate for systems that serve everyone fairly and equitably.

The light of Yahusha shines through the community. A safe sidewalk, a reliable bus route, a clean train system, and a connected neighborhood help people reach jobs, schools, worship services, and family gatherings. These are not simply infrastructure projects. They are opportunities for human connection and dignity.
The Empire State Building stands as a symbol of vision. Likewise, believers are called to build cities and communities that reflect heavenly values. Just as light shines from a lampstand, sustainable and equitable transportation can become a testimony of compassion, wisdom, and stewardship.

Anthropology reminds us that human societies have always been connected through movement and relationships. Healthy communities flourish when people can gather safely and efficiently. When transportation serves people rather than profits alone, neighborhoods become stronger, families become healthier, and communities become more united.

Yahusha calls us to be builders of hope. Whether through advocacy, education, innovation, or daily choices, each person has a role in creating a future that reflects truth, justice, and care for creation.

Reflection

Ask yourself:

✨ How can I better care for creation in my daily choices?

✨ How can I support healthier and more equitable communities?

✨ How can I allow the light of Yahusha to guide my stewardship of the world around me?
