[1] “But now hear, O Ya‛aqoḇ My servant, and Yisra’ĕl whom I have chosen. [2] Thus said יהוה who made you and formed you from the womb, who helps you, ‘Do not fear, O Ya‛aqoḇ My servant, and Yeshurun, whom I have chosen. [3] For I pour water on the thirsty, and floods on the dry ground. I pour My Spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring, [4] and they shall spring up among the grass like willows by streams of water.’ [5] “One says, ‘I belong to יהוה; another calls himself by the name of Ya‛aqoḇ; another writes with his hand, ‘Unto יהוה,’ and names himself by the name of Yisra’ĕl. [6] “Thus said יהוה, Sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, and his Redeemer, יהוה of hosts, ‘I am the First and I am the Last, besides Me there is no Elohim. [7] And who is like Me? Let him call and declare it, and lay it before Me, since I appointed the everlasting people. And the events that are coming and those that do come, let them declare these to them. [8] Do not fear, nor be afraid. Have I not since made you hear, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there an Eloah besides Me? There is no other Rock, I know not one.’ ” [9] Those who make an idol, all of them are emptiness, and their delights do not profit. And they are their own witnesses; they neither see nor know, so that they are put to shame. [10] Who would form a mighty one or cast an idol that is of no value? [11] See, all his companions are ashamed, and the workmen, they are but men. Let them all be gathered together, let them stand up, let them fear, let them be put to shame, altogether. [12] The craftsman in iron with the tools works one in the coals, and fashions it with hammers, and works it with the strength of his arms. Even so, he shall be hungry, and has no strength; he drinks no water and is weary. [13] The carpenter stretches out his rule, he outlines it with chalk; he fashions it with a plane, and he outlines it with the compass, and makes it like the figure of a man, according to the comeliness of a man, to remain in the house. [14] He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes cypress and oak, which he raised among the trees of the forest. He has planted a pine, and the rain nourishes it. [15] And it shall be for a man to burn, for he takes some of it and warms himself. He also kindles it and shall bake bread. He also makes a mighty one and bows himself to it – has made it a carved image and falls down before it. [16] Half of it he shall burn in the fire; with this half he eats meat. He roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, “Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire.” [17] And the rest of it he makes into a mighty one, his carved image. He falls down before it and worships, prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for you are my mighty one.” [18] They do not know nor understand, for He has smeared their eyes from seeing, and their hearts from understanding. [19] And no one recalls it to his heart, nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire, and I have also baked bread on its coals; I have roasted meat and eaten it. And shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Should I fall down before a log of wood?” [20] Feeding on ashes, a deceived heart turns him aside, and he does not deliver his being, nor says, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?” [21] “Remember these matters, O Ya‛aqoḇ, and Yisra’ĕl, for you are My servant! I have formed you, you are My servant, O Yisra’ĕl, do not forget Me! [22] “I shall wipe out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I shall redeem you.” [23] Sing, O heavens, for יהוה shall do it! Shout, O depths of the earth! Break forth into singing, O mountains, forest, and every tree in it! For יהוה shall redeem Ya‛aqoḇ, and make Himself clear in Yisra’ĕl. [24] Thus said יהוה, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb, “I am יהוה, doing all, stretching out the heavens all alone, spreading out the earth, with none beside Me, [25] frustrating the signs of the babblers, and driving diviners mad, turning wise men backward, and making their knowledge foolish, [26] confirming the word of His servant, and completing the counsel of His messengers, who says of Yerushalayim, ‘Be inhabited,’ and of the cities of Yehuḏah, ‘They shall be built, and her ruins raised up by Me,’ [27] who is saying to the deep, ‘Be dry, and your rivers I dry up,’ [28] who is saying of Koresh, ‘He is My shepherd, and he completes all My pleasure, even saying to Yerushalayim, “Let her be built,” and to the Hĕḵal, “Let her foundation be laid.” ’

[1] And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, [2] “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘Be set-apart, for I יהוה your Elohim am set-apart. [3] ‘Each one of you should fear his mother and his father, and guard My Sabbaths. I am יהוה your Elohim. [4] ‘Do not turn to idols, and do not make for yourselves moulded mighty ones. I am יהוה your Elohim. [5] "‘And when you slaughter a slaughtering of peace offerings to יהוה, slaughter it for your acceptance. [6] ‘It is eaten the same day you slaughter it, and on the next day. And that which is left on the third day is burned with fire. [7] ‘So if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable, it is not accepted, [8] and he who eats it bears his crookedness, because he has profaned the set-apart offering of יהוה, and that being shall be cut off from his people. [9] ‘And when you reap the harvest of your land, do not completely reap the corners of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. [10] ‘And do not glean your vineyard or gather every grape of your vineyard, leave them for the poor and the stranger. I am יהוה your Elohim. [11] ‘Do not steal, do not lie, do not deceive one another. [12] ‘And do not swear falsely by My Name and so profane the Name of your Elohim. I am יהוה. [13] ‘Do not oppress your neighbour or rob him. The wages of him who is hired is not to remain with you all night until morning. [14] ‘Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling-block before the blind, but fear your Elohim. I am יהוה. [15] ‘Do no unrighteousness in right-ruling. Do not be partial to the poor or favour the face of the great, but rightly rule your neighbour in righteousness. [16] ‘Do not go slandering among your people. Do not stand against the blood of your neighbour. I am יהוה. [17] ‘Do not hate your brother in your heart. Reprove your neighbour, for certain, and bear no sin because of him. [18] ‘Do not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the children of your people. And you shall love your neighbour as yourself. I am יהוה. [19] ‘Guard My laws. Do not let your livestock mate with another kind. Do not sow your field with mixed seed. And do not put a garment woven of two sorts of thread upon you. [20] ‘And when a man has intercourse with a woman who is a female servant, engaged to a man, and to be ransomed, but she has not been ransomed nor set free, there should be an inquiry. But they are not put to death, because she was not free. [21] ‘And he shall bring his guilt offering to יהוה, to the door of the Tent of Appointment, a ram as a guilt offering. [22] ‘And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before יהוה for his sin which he has done. And the sin which he has sinned shall be forgiven him. [23] ‘And when you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall reckon their fruit as uncircumcised. For three years it is as uncircumcised to you, it is not eaten. [24] ‘And in the fourth year all its fruit is set-apart – praises to יהוה. [25] ‘And in the fifth year you eat its fruit, so that it increases its yield to you. I am יהוה your Elohim. [26] ‘Do not eat meat with the blood. Do not practise divination or magic. [27] ‘Do not round the corner of your head, nor destroy the corner of your beard. [28] ‘And do not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor put tattoo marks on you. I am יהוה. [29] ‘Do not profane your daughter by making her a whore, so that the land does not whore, and the land becomes filled with wickedness. [30] ‘Guard My Sabbaths and reverence My set-apart place. I am יהוה. [31] ‘Do not turn to mediums, and do not seek after spiritists to be defiled by them. I am יהוה your Elohim. [32] ‘Rise up before the grey-headed. And you shall favour the face of an old man, and shall fear your Elohim. I am יהוה. [33] ‘And when a stranger sojourns with you in your land, do not oppress him. [34] ‘Let the stranger who dwells among you be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself. For you were strangers in the land of Mitsrayim. I am יהוה your Elohim. [35] ‘Do no unrighteousness in right-ruling, in measurement of length, in weight, or in measuring liquids. [36] ‘Have right scales, right weights, a right ĕphah, and a right hin. I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim. [37] ‘And you shall guard all My laws and all My right-rulings, and do them. I am יהוה.’ ”

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 14:1-36
[1] At that time Herodes the district ruler heard the report about ]2יהושע, [ and said to his servants, “This is Yoḥanan the Immerser. He has risen from the dead, and that is why these mighty powers are at work in him.” [3] For Herodes had arrested Yoḥanan, bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, [4] for Yoḥanan had said to him, “It is not right for you to have her.” [5] And wishing to kill him, he feared the crowd, because they held him as a prophet. [6] But as Herodes’ birthday was being held, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herodes, [7] so he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked. [8] And she, being urged on by her mother, said, “Give me here the head of Yoḥanan the Immerser on a dish.” [9] And the sovereign was sad, but because of the oaths and the guests he commanded it to be given, [10] and sent and beheaded Yoḥanan in prison. [11] And his head was brought on a dish and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother. [12] And his taught ones came and took away the body and buried it, and went and reported to ]13יהושע. [ Now when יהושע heard it, He withdrew from there by boat to a deserted place, by Himself. And when the crowds heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. [14] And when יהושע came out, He saw a large crowd and was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. [15] And when evening came, His taught ones came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Dismiss the crowds, so that they might go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” [16] But יהושע said to them, “They do not need to go away, give them to eat yourselves.” [17] And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” [18] And He said, “Bring them here to Me.” [19] And commanding the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the taught ones. And the taught ones gave to the crowds, [20] and all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up the pieces left over – twelve baskets, filled. [21] And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children. [22] And immediately יהושע made His taught ones enter into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowds. [23] And having dismissed the crowds, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray. And when evening had come, He was alone there. [24] But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, agitated by the waves, for the wind was against it. [25] And in the fourth watch of the night יהושע went to them, walking on the sea. [26] And when the taught ones saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a phantom!” And from fear they cried. [27] But immediately יהושע spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid.” [28] And Kĕpha answered Him and said, “Master, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” [29] And He said, “Come.” And when Kĕpha had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to ]30יהושע. [ But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Master, save me!” [31] And immediately יהושע stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “O you of little belief, why did you doubt?” [32] And when they came into the boat, the wind ceased. [33] And those in the boat came and did bow to Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of Elohim.” [34] And having passed over, they came to the land of Gennĕsar. [35] And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding country, and brought to Him all who were sick, [36] and begged Him to let them only touch the tzitzit of His garment. And as many as touched it was completely healed.

Friendliness,Fondness, Feeling Friday
Yoḥanan Aleph (1 John) 4:1-21
[1] Beloved ones, do not believe every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of Elohim, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. [2] By this you know the Spirit of Elohim: Every spirit that confesses that יהושע Messiah has come in the flesh is of Elohim, [3] and every spirit that does not confess that יהושע Messiah has come in the flesh is not of Elohim. And this is the spirit of the anti-messiah which you heard is coming, and now is already in the world.[4] You are of Elohim, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. [5] They are of the world, therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. [6] We are of Elohim – the one knowing Elohim hears us. He who is not of Elohim does not hear us. By this we know the Spirit of the Truth and the spirit of the delusion. [7] Beloved ones, let us love one another, because love is of Elohim, and everyone who loves has been born of Elohim, and knows Elohim. [8] The one who does not love does not know Elohim, for Elohim is love. [9] By this the love of Elohim was manifested in us, that Elohim has sent His only brought-forth Son into the world, in order that we might live through Him. [10] In this is love, not that we loved Elohim, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning offering for our sins. [11] Beloved ones, if Elohim so loved us, we also ought to love one another. [12] No one has seen Elohim at any time. If we love one another, Elohim does stay in us, and His love has been perfected in us. [13] By this we know that we stay in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. [14] And we have seen and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son, Saviour of the world. [15] Whoever confesses that יהושע is the Son of Elohim, Elohim stays in him, and he in Elohim. [16] And we have known and believed the love that Elohim has for us. Elohim is love, and he who stays in love stays in Elohim, and Elohim in him. [17] By this love has been perfected with us, in order that we might have boldness in the day of judgment, because as He is so are we in this world. [18] There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear holds punishment, and he who fears has not been made perfect in love. [19] We love Him because He first loved us. [20] If someone says, “I love Elohim,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, how is he able to love Elohim whom he has not seen? [21] And we have this command from Him, that the one loving Elohim should love his brother too.

Let Go Of The Past. Be Fully Present.
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 10:1-42
[1] And having called His twelve taught ones near, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every bodily weakness. [2] And these are the names of the twelve emissaries: first, Shim‛on, who is called Kĕpha, and Andri his brother; Ya‛aqoḇ the son of Zaḇdai, and Yoḥanan his brother; [3] Philip and Bartholomi; T’oma and Mattithyahu the tax collector; Ya‛aqoḇ the son of Alphai, and Laḇai whose last name was Taddai; [4] Shim‛on the Kena‛anite, and Yehuḏah from Qerioth, who did also deliver Him up. [5] יהושע sent these twelve out, having commanded them, saying, “Do not go into the way of the nations, and do not enter a city of the Shomeronim, [6] but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’ĕl. [7] “And as you go, proclaim, saying, ‘The reign of the heavens has drawn near.’ [8] “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. You have received without paying, give without being paid. [9] “Do not acquire gold or silver or copper for your money-belts, [10] or a bag for the journey, or two undergarments, or sandals, or staffs, for the worker is worthy of his food. [11] “And into whatever city or village you enter, ask who is worthy in it, and stay there until you leave. [12] “And as you enter into a house, greet it. [13] “And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. [14] “And whoever does not receive you nor hear your words, when you leave that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. [15] “Truly, I say to you, it shall be more bearable for the land of Seḏom and Amorah in the day of judgment than for that city! [16] “See, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. [17] “But beware of men, for they shall deliver you up to sanhedrins and flog you in their congregations. [18] “And you shall be brought before governors and sovereigns for My sake, as a witness to them and to the nations. [19] “But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it shall be given to you in that hour what you shall speak, [20] for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking in you. [21] “And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and a father his child. And children shall rise up against parents and shall put them to death. [22] “And you shall be hated by all for My Name’s sake. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved. [23] “And when they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For truly, I say to you, you shall by no means have gone through the cities of Yisra’ĕl before the Son of Aḏam comes. [24] “A taught one is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. [25] “It is enough for the taught one to become like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Be‛elzebul, how much more those of his household! [26] “Therefore do not fear them. For whatever is covered shall be revealed, and whatever is hidden shall be made known. [27] “What I say to you in the dark, speak in the light. And what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the house-tops. [28] “And do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the being. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both being and body in GĕHinnom. [29] “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground without your Father. [30] “And even the hairs of your head are all numbered. [31] “So do not fear, you are worth more than many sparrows. [32] “Everyone, therefore, who shall confess Me before men, him I shall also confess before My Father who is in the heavens. [33] “But whoever shall deny Me before men, him I shall also deny before My Father who is in the heavens. [34] “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword, [35] for I have come to bring division, a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – [36] and a man’s enemies are those of his own household. [37] “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. [38] “And he who does not take up his stake and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. [39] “He who has found his life shall lose it, and he that has lost his life for My sake shall find it. [40] “He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. [41] “He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous one in the name of a righteous one shall receive a righteous one’s reward. [42] “And whoever gives one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a taught one, truly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”

Forgive Those who Are Indebted To Us
Spirit money itself has many different uses; however, it is used generally as a symbol of transformation, increase in reproduction, and payment of spiritual debts. The notes used as “money” are transformed to spirit money when they are used as symbolic offerings to ghosts, gods, and ancestors.
Deḇarim (Deuteronomy) 15:1-23
[1] “At the end of every seven years you make a release of debts. [2] “And this is the word of the release: Every creditor is to release what he has loaned to his neighbour, he does not require it of his neighbour or his brother, because it is called the release of יהוה. [3] “Of a foreigner you could require it, but your hand is to release whatever is owed by your brother. [4] “Only, there should be no poor among you. For יהוה does greatly bless you in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to possess as an inheritance, [5] only if you diligently obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard to do all these commands which I am commanding you today. [6] “For יהוה your Elohim shall bless you as He promised you. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And you shall rule over many nations, but they do not rule over you. [7] “When there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, within any of the gates in your land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you, do not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, [8] for you shall certainly open your hand to him and certainly lend him enough for his need, whatever he needs. [9] “Be on guard lest there be a thought of Beliya‛al in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of release, is near,’ and your eye is evil against your poor brother and you give him naught. And he shall cry out to יהוה against you, and it shall be a sin in you. [10] “You shall certainly give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this reason יהוה your Elohim does bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. [11] Because the poor one does not cease from the land. Therefore I am commanding you, saying, ‘You shall certainly open your hand to your brother, to your poor and to your needy one, in your land.’ ” [12] “When your brother is sold to you, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, and shall serve you six years, then let him go free from you in the seventh year. [13] “And when you send him away free from you, let him not go away empty-handed. [14] “You shall richly supply him from your flock, and from your threshing-floor, and from your winepress. With that which יהוה has blessed you with, give to him. [15] “And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and יהוה your Elohim ransomed you. Therefore I am commanding you this word today. [16] “And it shall be, when he says to you, ‘I do not go away from you,’ because he loves you and your house, because it is good for him with you, [17] then you shall take an awl and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Do the same to your female servant. [18] “Let it not be hard in your eyes when you send him away free from you, for he has been worth a double hired servant in serving you six years. And יהוה your Elohim shall bless you in all that you do. [19] “Set apart to יהוה your Elohim all the first-born males that come from your herd and your flock. Do no work with the first-born of your herd, nor shear the first-born of your flock. [20] “You and your household are to eat it before יהוה your Elohim year by year in the place which יהוה chooses. [21] “But when there is any defect in it, lame or blind, or has any evil defect, do not slaughter it to יהוה your Elohim. [22] “Eat it within your gates – the unclean and the clean alike – as the gazelle, and as the deer. [23] “Only, do not eat its blood, pour it on the ground like water.

The Wrongness Of Exaltation
[1] Do not envy evil men, Nor desire to be with them; [2] For their heart plots to ravage, And their lips talk of trouble. [3] By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; [4] And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. [5] Mighty is the wise in strength, And a man of knowledge strengthens power; [6] For by wise guidance you wage your own battle, And delivery is by a great counsellor. [7] Wisdom is high for a fool; He does not open his mouth in the gate. [8] He who plots to do evil Is called a master of evil plots. [9] The purpose of folly is sin, And the scoffer is an abomination to men. [10] If you falter in the day of distress, Your strength is small! [11] Deliver those taken to death, And hold back those stumbling to the kill, [12] If you say, “See, we did not know this,” Would not He who weighs the hearts discern it? He who watches over your life, Would He not know it? And shall He not repay man according to his work? [13] My son, eat honey, for it is good, And the honeycomb, sweet to your taste; [14] Know that wisdom is thus to your being; If you have found it, there is a future, And your expectancy is not cut off. [15] Do not lie in wait, O wrong one, Against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not ravage his resting place; [16] For seven times a righteous man falls and rises, But the wrong one stumbles into evil. [17] Do not exult when your enemy falls, And let not your heart rejoice when he stumbles; [18] Lest יהוה see and it be evil in His eyes, And He turn away His wrath from him. [19] Do not fret because of evil-doers, And do not envy the wrong; [20] For there is no future for the evil-doer; The lamp of the wrongdoers is put out. [21] My son, fear יהוה and the sovereign; Do not mingle with those who change; [22] For their calamity arises suddenly, And who knows the ruin of both of them? [23] These also are for the wise: It is not good to show partiality in right-ruling. [24] He who says to the wrong, “You are righteous” – peoples curse him, Nations despise him. [25] But those who rebuke the wrong, It is pleasant, and a good blessing comes on them. [26] He who gives a right answer kisses the lips. [27] Prepare your outside work, And make it fit for yourself in the field; Then you shall build your house. [28] Do not witness against your neighbour without cause, And do not deceive with your lips. [29] Do not say, “Let me do to him as he did to me; I repay each according to his work.” [30] I passed by the field of the lazy, And by the vineyard of the man lacking heart; [31] And see, it was all overgrown with thorns; Its surface was covered with nettles; And its stone wall was broken down. [32] When I saw it, I set my heart on it; I looked and received discipline: [33] A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest;[34] And your poverty shall come, a prowler, And your need like an armed man.

Assembly Gathering
Ma`asei (Acts) 17:1-34
[1] And having passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonike, where there was a congregation of the Yehuḏim. [2] And according to his practice, Sha’ul went in unto them, and for three Sabbaths was reasoning with them from the Scriptures, [3] explaining and pointing out that the Messiah had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This is the Messiah, יהושע, whom I proclaim to you.” [4] And some of them did believe, and a large number of the worshipping Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Sha’ul and Silas. [5] But the Yehuḏim who did not believe, having become envious, took some of the wicked men from the market-place, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and came upon the house of Jason, and were seeking to bring them out to the people. [6] But not finding them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers to the city rulers, crying out, “They who have turned the world upside down have come here too, [7] whom Jason has received. And all of them are acting contrary to the dogmas of Caesar, saying there is another sovereign, יהושע.” [8] And they troubled the crowd and the city rulers when they heard this. [9] And when they had received a pledge from Jason and the rest, they let them go. [10] And the brothers immediately sent Sha’ul and Silas away by night to Beroia, who, having come, went into the congregation of the Yehuḏim. [11] Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonike, who received the word with great eagerness, and searched the Scriptures daily, if these words were so. [12] Then many of them truly believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, decent women as well as men. [13] And when the Yehuḏim from Thessalonike came to know that the word of Elohim was proclaimed by Sha’ul at Beroia, they came there also and stirred up the crowds. [14] And then immediately the brothers sent Sha’ul away, to go to the sea, but both Silas and Timotiyos stayed there. [15] And those who arranged for Sha’ul brought him to Athens. And receiving a command for Silas and Timotiyos to join him as soon as possible, they departed. [16] But while Sha’ul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred up within him when he saw that the city was utterly idolatrous. [17] Therefore, indeed, he was reasoning in the congregation with the Yehuḏim and with the worshippers, and in the market-place daily with those who met there. [18] And some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some were saying, “What does this babbler wish to say?” Others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of strange mighty ones” – because to them he brought the Good News: יהושע and the resurrection! [19] So they laid hold of him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “Are we able to know what this fresh teaching is of which you speak? [20] For you are bringing some strange matters to our ears. We wish, then, to know what these mean.” [21] For all the Athenians and the strangers living there spent their leisure time in doing naught but to speak or to hear what is fresh. [22] And having stood in the midst of the Areopagus Sha’ul said, “Men of Athens, I see that you are very religious in every matter. [23] “For passing through and observing the objects of your worship, I even found a slaughter-place with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN MIGHTY ONE. Not knowing then whom you worship, I make Him known to you: [24] יהוה, who made the world and all that is in it, this One being Master of heaven and earth, does not dwell in dwellings made with hands. [25] Nor is He served with men’s hands – as if needing any – Himself giving to all life, and breath, and all else. [26] “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having ordained beforehand the times and the boundaries of their dwelling, [27] to seek the Master, if at least they would reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. [28] For in Him we live and move and are, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ ” [29] “Now then, since we are the offspring of Elohim, we should not think that the Elohim is like gold or silver or stone, an image made by the skill and thought of man. [30] Truly, then, having overlooked these times of ignorance, Elohim now commands all men everywhere to repent,” [31] because He has set a day on which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed, having given proof of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” [32] And hearing of the resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked, while others said, “We shall hear you again concerning this.” [33] And so Sha’ul went out from among them. [34] But some men joined him and believed, among them Dionusios the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Who's House Are You Building
Diḇre haYamim Bĕt (2 Chronicles) 2:1-18
[1] And Shelomoh gave word to build a House for the Name of יהוה, and a house for his reign. [2] Then Shelomoh enrolled seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand hewing stone in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them. [3] And Shelomoh sent to Ḥuram sovereign of Tsor, saying, “As you did for my father Dawiḏ, and sent him cedars to build himself a house to dwell in – [4] see, I am building a House for the Name of יהוה my Elohim, to set it apart to Him, to burn before Him sweet incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the ascending offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the appointed times of יהוה our Elohim. This is for Yisra’ĕl forever. [5] “And the House which I build is great, for our Elohim is greater than all mighty ones. [6] “But who is able to build Him a House, since the heavens and the heavens of the heavens are unable to contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a House, except to offer before Him? [7] “And now, send me at once a man who knows to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, and in iron, and in purple and crimson and blue, and knowing to engrave with the skilled men who are with me in Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim, whom Dawiḏ my father has prepared. [8] “And send me cedar, cypress and algum logs from Leḇanon, for I know that your servants know to cut timber in Leḇanon. And see, my servants are with your servants, [9] even to prepare plenty of timber for me, for the House that I am building is great and marvellous. [10] “And see, I have given servants to you, the hewers who cut timber, twenty thousand kors of ground wheat, and twenty thousand kors of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.” [11] Then Ḥuram the sovereign of Tsor answered in writing, which he sent to Shelomoh, “Because יהוה loves His people, He has made you sovereign over them.” [12] And Ḥuram said, “Blessed be יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, who made the heavens and earth, for He has given Sovereign Dawiḏ a wise son, knowing wisdom and understanding, to build a House for יהוה and a house for his reign! [13] “And now I have sent a skilled man having understanding, Ḥuram-aḇi, [14] the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tsor, who knows to work in gold, and in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, and in wood, purple and blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson, and to make any engraving and to accomplish any plan that is given to him, with your skilled men and with the skilled men of my master Dawiḏ your father. [15] “And now, the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine which my master has spoken of, let him send to his servants. [16] “And let us cut wood from Leḇanon, as much as you need, and bring it to you in rafts by sea to Yapho, and you take it up to Yerushalayim.” [17] And Shelomoh numbered all the men, the strangers who were in the land of Yisra’ĕl, according to the census in which Dawiḏ his father had numbered them, and they were found to be one hundred and fifty-three thousand six hundred. [18] And he made seventy thousand of them to bear burdens, and eighty thousand hewers of stone in the mountain, and three thousand six hundred overseers to make the people work.
