Sermon~ Paths of Purpose; Walking Boldly Under the New Moon
By WBJMinistries
Elohim, Creator of the heavens and the earth, we come before You under this New Moon, a time of new beginnings and fresh vision. Illuminate our hearts, guide our steps, and show us that not every path is meant to be followed, but some are meant to be made. Empower us through Yahusha to walk boldly in purpose and faith.
Halleluyah.
๐Introduction / Story;
Tonight, under the quiet glow of the New Moon, we reflect on the truth; not every path is meant to be followed; some are meant to be made. In the natural world, rivers carve valleys and stars blaze trails across the night sky, paths that no one had walked before. So too, Elohim calls each of us to step into our unique destinies. Consider Miriam (Miryam), the sister of Moshe (Moses), who led the women of Israel in song and dance after the Red Sea parted Shemoth~ (Exo'dus 15:20-21, Halleluyah Scriptures). She did not merely follow the path of her brothers; she created a path of praise, a legacy of leadership, and a blueprint for women of faith to follow.
๐ฃ️Scriptural Reflection;
Esther (Esther 4:14, Halleluyah Scriptures) reminds us that we are placed “for such a time as this.” She could have followed the safe, expected path of obedience to convention, but instead, she made a path of courage and intervention that changed the course of history. Yahusha calls us, too, to create paths that align with our divine purpose, even when they are unseen or uncertain. Connection to the New Moon; ๐The New Moon is a symbol of beginnings, an invitation to sow seeds of intention and action. It reminds us that the darkness before the moon’s fullness is not a time of pause however a sacred space to create, to innovate, to step into uncharted territory with faith. Harriet Tubman said, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Like Harriet, we are called to forge paths, not simply walk them. Maya Angelou reminds us, “You may not control all the events that happen to you, still you can decide not to be reduced by them.” Even when faced with obstacles, Yahusha gives us the grace to rise and create new paths of purpose. Tonight, reflect on the areas in your life where you have been following paths laid out by others expectations, fear, or comfort. Ask Yahusha; “Where do You call me to make a path?” Write it, speak it, or plant the seed under the New Moon. This is your time to step into action, guided by faith, creativity, and courage.
๐ขReflection
Like the stars that blaze their own trails across the heavens, you are called to illuminate your world. The women of scripture and the visionaries of history walked roads that had never existed before. You too can rise, make a path, and leave a legacy of faith, courage, and innovation.

Yahusha, help us to see where paths are waiting to be made. Grant us courage, wisdom, and faith to walk where You lead, even if it requires forging new ways. May the light of Your presence guide us like the stars in the night sky, and may our actions honor our ancestors and Your divine purpose. Halleluyah.
