WBJMinistries Sermon - With HalleluYah Scriptures - Includes Opening & Closing Prayers
Heavenly Abba, Yah of Abraham, Yitsḥaq, and Yaʽaqob,
We come before you with hearts open to your truth and ears ready to hear Your Word. May your Ruach Ha’Qodesh guide our thoughts and speech today. Let your justice roll on like a river, and your righteousness like a never-failing stream. Empower us to be your vessels of truth, compassion, and action.
In the Name of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach, we pray.
Halleluyah.
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge righteously; defend the rights of the poor and needy."
—Mishlĕ (Proverbs) 31:8–9 (HalleluYah Scriptures)
Today, we address a question that echoes from the pulpits to the streets. Should spiritualailty speak out more on social justice and inequality? The short answer is yes. The longer answer is found throughout Scripture, history, and the living testimony of Yahusha's ministry.
The example of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach
Yahusha did not remain silent in the face of injustice. He overturned the tables of exploitation in the temple. He restored dignity to the Samaritan woman. He declared blessings over the poor and warnings to the rich who hoarded.
When he read from Yeshayahu (Isaiah) in the synagogue, He proclaimed: "The Spirit of YHWH is upon Me,... to preach the Good News to the poor,... to set the oppressed free."Luqas- (Luke 4:18-from HalleluYah Scriptures)
Should we; his body; Do less than what our Head has done?
Social Justice is Biblical Justice
Justice in Hebrew, tzedakah and mishpat, appears over 200 times in the Scriptures. It's not just a legal term, it is relational. It reflects how we treat one another in the community.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 1:17 commands us;
"Learn to do good; seek right-ruling, reprove the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow."
This is not a political agenda; this is kingdom culture. Spirituality as a Prophetic Voice - Prophets like Amos, Micah, and Jeremiah cried out against corrupt leaders, unjust weights, and religious hypocrisy. Amos 5:24 declares;
"Let right-ruling roll on like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream."
When spirituality is silent, the stones cry out, but when the spirit speaks, chains break, systems change, and hope arises. Why the Silence? Some fear political entanglement. Others fear backlash. Nevertheless the fear of man must never silence the Word of YHWH.
As it says in Galatiyim (Galatians) 1:10:
"If I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Messiah."
The Role of the spirit Today
To feed the hungry and ask why they are hungry. To clothe the poor and challenge policies that keep them poor.
To pray for the persecuted and protest their mistreatment. To teach peace and pursue justice. We are not called to be comfortable. We are called to be courageous.
What would Yahusha say if He walked into our homes, schools, churches or grocery stores today? Would He find us busy building buildings while neglecting the broken? Would He hear our songs louder than our cries for justice?
Now is the time for spirituality to rise.
Not with worldly anger, however with holy conviction. Let us be the voice for the voiceless, the defenders of the defenseless, and the reflection of Yah’s righteous justice.
Abba YHWH, awaken your assembly. Let us no longer be silent when your people are suffering. Fill us with courage to speak, wisdom to act, and compassion to love. May we walk humbly, love mercy, and do justly, just as you have commanded. Empower WBJMinistries and all your people to be a light in darkness, a refuge in despair, and a trumpet for truth.
In Yahusha’s righteous Name,
Halleluyah!
