Rising Early- Embracing Solitude in Prayer - Reflections on Mark 1:35

Mark 1:35,

Sermon -The Power of Solitude with Yahusha

Scripture:
Mark 1:35 (KJV): “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”
Mark 1:35 (Halaleyah Scriptures): “And in the early morning, while it was still dark, He went out, and went away to a lonely place, and there He prayed.”

Opening Prayer:
Father Yah, we gather in Your presence, seeking inspiration and encouragement from Your Word. As we delve into this passage, open our hearts and minds. Let us draw closer to Yahusha through the example He has set before us. In Yahusha’s name, we pray. Halleluyah.

Introduction-
Beloved, we live in a time of constant noise, where distractions come from every corner. In Mark 1:35, we witness the power and purpose of intentional solitude with Yah, our Creator.

Yahusha, the Son of Elohim, teaches us the importance of withdrawing from the busyness of life to reconnect and be refilled.

Here at WBJMinistries, we embrace this truth: it is in solitude with Yah that we are empowered, refreshed, and equipped for the journey ahead.

The Purpose of Solitude with Yah
In Mark 1:35, Yahusha rises early—“a great while before day”—and seeks a quiet place to pray. Why would the Son of Yah need this solitude? Because in that solitary place, free from the demands and expectations of the world, Yahusha is able to commune with Yah unhindered.

Beloved, this is our invitation. Just as Yahusha, our Savior, separated Himself to pray, so should we. It’s in those quiet, focused moments with Yah that He strengthens us, reveals His will, and renews our spirits.

The Halaleyah Scriptures emphasize that Yahusha went to a “lonely place.” This wasn’t a place of luxury or comfort but a place where all distractions were stripped away. He chose simplicity and solitude to draw nearer to Yah’s presence.

The Power of Early Morning Prayer
“And in the morning…” (Mark 1:35) reminds us that there is something sacred about the early hours. The world is still, our minds are fresh, and Yah’s voice can be heard more clearly. These early hours are a divine opportunity to lay our burdens before Yah and seek His guidance for the day ahead.

In Psalm 5:3 (KJV), David echoes this discipline: “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Yah; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” And again, in Halaleyah Scriptures, we read, “In the morning, You hear my voice; I present myself to You in the morning.”

By rising early and dedicating those first moments to Yah, we declare our dependence on Him. We show that we prioritize our relationship with Yah over all else.

Prayer as Empowerment
In this quiet time of communion, we are not only refreshed but empowered. Yahusha Himself teaches us this. With His ministry full of healing, teaching, and miracles, He still knew the source of His strength. He knew He needed the Father. WBJMinistries, let this remind us that if even Yahusha sought strength from Yah, how much more do we need to tap into that divine power!

Consider Isaiah 40:31 (KJV): “But they that wait upon Yah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” And in the Halaleyah Scriptures, it reads,( Yeshayahu 40:31 ) “Those who wait on יהוה renew their strength, they raise up the wing like eagles.”

When we meet with Yah in solitude, we are reminded of His power, His purpose, and His promises.

A Call to Follow Yahusha’s Example
Beloved, let Yahusha’s example drive us to seek our quiet place, whether it be early in the morning or in a moment we carve out in the day. Just as Yahusha rose to pray alone with Yah, let us find our time to be alone with Him. This is where we find purpose, strength, and clarity for our journey.

In conclusion
As we go forth, let this verse become a cornerstone of our walk with Yah. Let us rise early, find a quiet place, and seek Yah in prayer. By doing so, we are prepared for whatever lies ahead. Here at WBJMinistries, let us commit to the power of prayer and solitude, remembering that Yahusha has shown us the way.

Closing Prayer-
Yah, we thank You for the example of Yahusha, who prioritized His relationship with You. As we seek to follow His footsteps, grant us the strength to find our solitude and meet with You daily. Empower us with Your Spirit, guide us with Your Word, and fill us with Your love. In Yahusha’s name, I pray.
